Our first kidding of the year! They are spread out this year as we aren't going to have fall kidders and just milk a couple of the later fresheners through the winter. That worked so well this year and we didn't have all the small kids through the winter! She kid a day earlier (and two days early last year). We were kind of hoping Fox Acres AB Fire Agate 2*M would kid on her due date as then she would have had leap year babies. That would have been fun! She is our largest teated doe and was one of two of our FF that earned their *M even though she only milked 240+ days. She has the largest teats of any of our does and are we expecting her to be a great milker. We bred her to Built on the Rock Beryllonite. His dam milked 980 lbs as a 2F and his sire's dam was a Top 10 doe who milked 1530 lbs. We are expecting large milkers and well place teats from his offspring. This will be the first doeling we are keeping of his as this is his first set of kids to hit the ground. We will be wethering the two boys and they will be for sale at 12 weeks for $200.
